Brisket Rub recipe

Learn how to make this excellent brisket rub for use with smoked brisket cooked low and slow. This amazing seasoning blend will draw out the delicious meat flavors and create stunning bark and burnt ends. 


  • 8 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 3 tablespoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley


In a medium-sized bowl, mix together all ingredients. Spread generously over brisket before smoking, pressing spices gently into surface of meat.
