San Diego Pepper Company is a husband and wife duo founded by Kieran and Jacklyn Parhar, who launched their business after being inspired by a hot sauce they tried during their honeymoon in St. Thomas in 2021. Handcrafted in small batches in a commercial kitchen in Encinitas, their sauces prioritize flavor over pain – a refreshing departure from gimmicky hot sauces focused solely on heat. With Kieran having a career in multimedia, they cut costs on label design, photography, videography, and website maintenance by doing it themselves, allowing them to maintain full control over quality and keep their business authentically community-minded.
While hot sauce is their product, their goal is to establish themselves as a community staple, with their north star being creating a positive impact in San Diego. They donate a portion of products and profits to local nonprofits, participate in the Adopt-a-Highway program (maintaining the northbound Balboa Avenue exit on the 805 freeway), and support charity fundraisers throughout San Diego. San Diego Sauce
A mild-medium smoky flavor paired with a garlic-packed punch! This sauce is great for everyday use that will give you all the flavor you need without packing a heavy hit of heat. Inspired by the chipotle flavor that is recognized around Southern California, San Diego Sauce blends chipotle and garlic for great flavor. Chipotle, garlic, vinegar, pepper, and salt – that’s it!
805 Heat
805 Heat is a sweet habanero hot sauce made with brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and a serious amount of heat! A unique and local craft sauce made in San Diego that gives a great spicy kick that reveals itself after an initial wave of sweetness. Ingredients: Apple Cider Vinegar, Brown Sugar, Habanero Pepper, Garlic, Mustard, Salt.
Spicy Pupper Sauce
This drool worthy sauce is a great way to throw heat at any dish with an up-front fire! While this sauce is not for canine consumption, A portion of every bottle goes to The Animal Pad, a 501c-3 non-profit rescuing dogs in Southern California and Ensenada, Mexico. Indian Spice Sauce
This sauce is made with a unique blend of Indian spices and Kashmiri chili peppers. It has a complex flavor with a mild heat level. This sauce is a unique and flavorful addition to any dish, including curries, stir-fries, and tacos. The Indian Spice Sauce is a reflection of my Punjabi heritage. I use a variety of spices and Kashmiri chili peppers add a mild heat level that is perfect for those who enjoy a flash of flavor in their food. MArinating Chicken thighs in this sauce gives an unmatched Indian flavor that tastes as authentic as can be, with a low spice to give everyone a chance to enjoy.

When Will I Receive My Delivery?
In the shopping cart, you will receive an Estimated Delivery timeframe based on the shipping method chosen. This is not a guaranteed delivery timeframe. Some areas may take longer due to the frequency of deliveries to the delivery zip code, time of year, or weather delays. Our system calculates this Estimated Delivery timeframe based on the total amount of time to process your order including packaging, transit time to the delivery provider, and transit time to the delivery address.
- Order Processing: Typically 1–2 business days; some orders may ship within 4 hours, and some may take up to 5 days.
- Transit Time: Standard/flat rate transit times within the continental United States average 1 to 7 business days; BBQRubs.com makes no guarantees on transit or delivery duration/times.
Vendor-fulfilled orders may require additional processing time depending on the vendor’s location and carrier availability.
Order Tracking
We use the USPS tracking system. This service is not provided by BBQRubs.com and is therefore not guaranteed to work. Vendor-fulfilled items may use alternative carrier tracking systems; those links will be provided when available.
Order Cancellation
If you are requesting to cancel your order that has yet to be shipped, you must contact us within 2 hours from the time the order was placed. Orders placed online or over the phone that have been shipped cannot be canceled. Orders fulfilled by third-party vendors may not be cancellable once processing begins with the vendor.
Lost or Stolen Packages
If you believe that your package has been lost, damaged, or stolen (subject to our confirmation that we have not received your package) you must wait for at least 7 business days after the package was dispatched. If after 7 business days your mail or package hasn’t arrived, contact us to submit a Missing Mail Search Request with the USPS. We will work with USPS to locate your package. After receiving confirmation from USPS that your package has not been found, BBQRubs.com will provide you with a full refund.
For vendor-fulfilled orders, BBQRubs.com will coordinate with the vendor to investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Packages Damaged in Transit
We apologize if your order was damaged upon receipt and for any inconvenience it may have caused. Please contact us for assistance in returning the damaged merchandise for full reimbursement. If the damaged item was fulfilled by a vendor, we will work directly with the vendor to process your replacement or refund.
Refund Policy
🚨 Important Notice – Food & Perishable Items
Rubs, seasonings, sauces, and all other food-related or perishable products are non-returnable and non-refundable due to strict food safety regulations.
We cannot accept these items back under any circumstances once they have left our facility.
We have a 30-day return policy for eligible non-food items only, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be non-food and non-perishable
- Unworn or unused
- In original packaging with tags
- Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase
How to Start a Return

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
- Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if:
- The item is defective
- The item is damaged
- You received the wrong item
We will evaluate the issue and make it right as quickly as possible.
